"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

I want to thank you for your effort to assist me in the past with my
transaction which did failed somehow because of some circumstances. I also
want to inform you that the transaction finally went through successfully
with the help of my Hong Kong partner Mr. Kin K. Young and I am now
investing my own share of the fund.

I was meant to understand that you have not received your compensation
payment of One Million, Seven Hundred, Twenty Five Thousand USD -
US$1,725,000.00 yet due to the past transfer options so I have to make an
arrangement with the Director of LAPOSTE COURIER service branch in Benin
Republic to send your fund through diplomatic means. This is very much
reliable and hitch free. This I realized was the means which my past
government officials have been using to move out loot money from the
country and it was this means that I and my Hong Kong Partner applied after
I got the contact from my past school friend who happens to be the personal
assistant to one of our past Minister of Works.

I have just been notified that your consignment have been well packaged
under the supervision of my secretary and also registered with Laposte
Courier for delivery to you. Below is the registration code;
