"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

My Dear Sir/ Madam,

 

I am writing this mail with tears and sorrow to seek for your assistance
regards to our situation since the death of my husband, I know this letter
might come to you as a surprise because we have not met each other or see face
to face before. My name is Aisha Abdel Fattah Younes; I was born in Benghazi on 23rd of May,
1971. Religion Muslim, I was educated at Murray
junior high school and at the University
of Libya where I read
nursing. While my only daughter Aminata Abdel Fattah was born in 1990.

 

 My late husband General Abdel
Fattah Younes who was shot death by Islamist-linked militia within the
anti-Gaddafi forces on 28th July, 2011 as result of civil war that going on in
my country Libya. 

 

 We are now writing to seek for
your assistance from Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso where we managed to escaped
nearby country through the help of United Nation after the death of my husband,
and now seeking asylum in Refugee Camp here in Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso, you

 Meanwhile, the main reason
why  we are seeking for your assistance
is because of the money my late husband was deposited in one of the banks here
in Burkina Faso which amount is (Six Million 
Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars ($6.8M). However, I have being advised by
the bank manager to look for a foreign partner who will stand as our trustee to
claim the fund due to our refugee status. It is our intention to compensate you
with 20% of the total money for your services and the balance shall be our
capital investment in your country through your help.

 

 Please get back to us if you are
interesting by assisting us claim the fund, so that we will give you all the
details /contact of the bank where the fund are deposited.  Honestly we want the fund to be transferred
to your account before I come over with my daughter to join you in your
country, we are really suffering since we arrived in this country, it is too
painful, but we hope with your help we will have the fund transferred into your
account, and we have a better life to live in your country.

 

 As soon as we receive your
interest in assisting us, we will put things into action immediately. In the
light of the above, we shall appreciate an urgent message indicating your
ability and willingness to handle this transaction sincerely.
