"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Rose Mguma Left A Message For You

Ms. Rose Mguma

Address: 78 Rue de Gouille plateau.

Abidjan - Côte-d'Ivoire.

Dearest One,

Please give kind attention to my mail.

I'm Ms. Rose Mguma, from Ivory Coast . I am a college student and I am 18 years old. My father worked with the Ivory Coast Embassy in France , he was also a famous rich farmer until he was killed few months back by the rebels. Due to the political problem and war in my country I run to republic of Benin, currently I am lodging in a hotel here in Cotonou the capital city of Benin . I don’t know if you are familiar with the events in my country.

I want to enter into a business relationship with you. I am in possession of a reasonable amount of money which I want to invest in your country. Recently, I took the decision to transfer and invest this money in your country due to war in my country and incessant political instabilities in this region. My only problem is to get a capable and honest person who can help me to transfer and invest this money in a reliable but profitable investment. Presently, this money is still in the bank, as soon as you show me your interest to help me, I will give you the contact of the bank where this money is deposited for you to confirm the real existence of this fund before we enter into this transaction. This transaction is risk free and it will be carried out legally.

Right now please I need your assistance urgently in moving this fund to your country but personally it is due to fear of betrayal from anyone around me here that raised my decision to contact a neutral individual out Africa like you who will not cheat or betray me. I want you to educate me on potential investments in your country since I would not like to invest or stay in any of the African countries due to constant political instabilities. If my proposal arouses your interest do not hesitate to reply quickly for more information’s.

I wait for your quick reply,

Best Regards,

Ms.Rose Mguma.
