"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: MESSAGE FROM ATTORNEY.

Good day,

How are you doing? I am Barrister Ben Anachebe, an attorney at law. My
client instructed me to contact and brief you of his success in completing
the transaction with the assistance of his new partner from the United
States. He asked to convey to you his gratitude, thankfulness and
appreciation for your great effort to the unfinished transfer of funds
into your account due to one reason or the other best known to you.

For your efforts, sincerity, courage and trustworthyness you showed at the
course of the transaction, he wish to compensate you with the sum of seven
hundred and thousand dollars($750,000,00). My client says he is rewarding
you with this token because you deserve it for your past assistance which
he can't forget, that you did your best and you deserve the reward. Please
accept this token with good faith. This token he says is not enough to be
compared with your assistance at the initial stage of the business, but
you should bear with him and understand that he had to share also with his
new partner who
helped in completing the business after you withdrew your interest.

You will have to send me your delivery information (home address and phone
number) to deliver your bank draft to you.

Thanks and God bless you and your family.
