"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: For Your Kind Attention

Good day,

I am Staff-Sergent Shahla Imram, I served under Mr. Ali, a brigade commander during the just concluded war in Libya, I beg you to make good understanding of my letter and help us. As soldiers, me and my men in an operation recovered a box with inscription {US$6.3m/Gold} written on top of it, when punctured we saw US-dollar packed in it.

As normalcy gradually returns to the country, we deposited the box with a Security Finance Company Abroad/Overseas. As the spokesman of my men I have been appointed to solicit your interest to help put claim to this box, let us know if you can handle this and I will explain better how we plan to succeed. We shall disburse the money with you, all we need is your honest and sincere help and then arrangement will be made to have you receive the box from the Security Finance Company.

Please send me your response via Email: shahlaaimram@ozu.es
