"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Your project

Hello,
My name is Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the former head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). I found your name among those whose transaction with some banks or individuals from the UK, Europe, Asia and Africa where not completed which means your payment was not remitted to you. So i take it upon myself to help you fight your payment out and complete your transaction for you. But mind you i can only help you secure $18 million dollars from the IMF office. But i am doing this privately so no body should know about this. If this is okay by you and you want me to help you get this $18 million dollars, please do let me know. Send to me your full contact information so that i can give you the full detail about this.
Best Regards
Dominique Strauss-Kahn
