"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Sir, C. A. Gomez, Esq., a legal attorney in Benin Republic. This letter is highly privileged, and it requires your immediate attention.

You are receiving this letter because your family name connected to a deceased client Engr. Michael,who was a national of your country.

Engr. Michael was involved in an auto accident with the wife and two children in 2010 when a truckload of cement lost break, ran into their vehicle, and killed all.

Egnr.Michael had a fixed-term Deposit with a bank which worth 10.5million Euros. Since the event of the accident, none of his extended family has been located for the claim of this money. There is urgent need for me to present a beneficiary to the bank for the claim of the inheritance. The bank notified me of recent, their decision to declare the inheritance to the government as their only option since there is no available kin of the deceased to inherit the money.
