"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PLEASE I WANT YOU TO HELP ME SHIP AND SELL THIS GOLD

Please,

I am Robert Mensah, from Obuasi a mining village here in Ghana and my
father was a small scale miner and also a member of Small Scale Miners
Association (SSMA). Before my father died he deposited about 300kgs of Gold
with a Security Company.

I need you or a good marketer who can sell this Gold abroad; i have the
certificate of deposit with me.

However you will help me to finance the shipment because i do not have the
capital to ship since am a young undergraduate still in school and need
capital to finance my education hence the decision to sell part or all the
gold.

I am contacting you because you can use your connection to market this Gold
for me. I promise to part 5% negotiable percentage of the total sales or
you collect 5% in Gold.

I am waiting for positive reply.

Thanks

Robert Mensah
