"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

COMMISSION OF INQUIRY MINNA NIGER.
 
This is to formally inform you that the contract you appeared as its payment beneficiary as verified by this honorable Commission has today been approved by His Excellency the executive governor of Niger State and the management of the appointed paying Bank [Access Bank Plc] has also been instructed to effect payment immediately in your favor as soon as you are referred to the bank by this Commission.
 
In view of this, re-confirm the following information of your person to ensure that it is free of error to avoid delay in the process of releasing the [Five million five hundred USD] $5,500,000.00 being the value of the contract you emerged as its payment beneficiary.

[b] Country, State of origin and address
[c] Sex, Marital status and occupation
[d] House, office telephone line and fax very important to enhance and ensure constant communication.
 
As listed above is the information of your person to re-confirm to this Commission and as soon as it is re-confirmed by you, the Commission will refer it immediately to the paying bank to effect payment in your favor  through transferring the aforementioned sum to your nominated bank account. 
This Commission is the only legal constituted authority by Niger State Government to coordinate the release of funds to contract payment beneficiaries of the State, hence do not communicate to any other authority / individuals not sanctioned by this Commission in this process to avoid been defrauded by unscrupulous elements.
 
Finally, ensure that your mail box is safe to avoid a situation whereby criminals who hack into unsuspecting individuals mail boxes without their knowledge from submitting fake information from your mail box claiming to be you which could lead to wrong channeling of your fund at your detriment.
