"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: VERY IMPORTANT

Dear Ngo Recipient,
AGFUND is an International donator for pioneering Human Developments projects; it was established in 1999 by the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND), with the aim of inciting and encouraging innovation and creativity in the areas of human development. The idea of the donation was stemmed from AGFUND’s approach to enhance development performance and support key development projects in order to achieve the goal of sustainability and investment in people.
AGFUND is at the moment running a financial donation of 450,000 Pounds to organizations to support human development projects within their operational area and you receive this mail due to the appeal from foreign contribution registration act to donate to Non-Governmental Organizations who are interested to pioneer human development projects.
AGFUND is specifically aimed at assisting the poorest of the poor — small farmers, artisanal fishermen, rural poor women, landless workers, rural artisans, nomadic herdsmen and indigenous populations — to increase their food production, raise their incomes, improve their health, nutrition, education standards and general well-being on a sustainable basis.
Nonetheless, AGFUND is welcoming grantee applications from around the globe to funding individuals, organizations, industries and institutional bodies and other related sections to reduce the poverty menace globally for which each application is allowed to  receive funds not more than Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Pounds (450,000.00 Pounds).
Therefore, if you are interested to pioneer human development projects within your operational area and to receive this 450,000 Pounds donation as AGFUND foreign contribution to support NGOs, you can assist by providing your NGO name, address, mobile number, name of chief functionary/chairman and state to the program officer (worldbnkalleviationprogrammes@admin.in.th) to commensurate the fund transfer. Thank you in anticipation of your response.
