"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I know this mail will come to you as a surprise.

My name is Mr. Richard Kwame, the new appointed DHL director. I resumed office last week friday and decided to cross check customers unclaimed files this morning and I found out you have a consignment trunk box containing the sum of $1.5 Million United states dollars inside the box.

Your depositor registered the consignment trunk box as African cloths, which I know the reason why he deposited it as a box  of African cloths is to avoid the management delaying the delivery to you.

Now, I want to assist you get this your consignment trunk box delivered to your destination home address without any further delay, if only you follow my directives and instructions then you know that within 2 to 3 working days you have receive the consignment trunk box. The only money you will pay to DHL managament is our dumurrage fee because since all this while your consignment was secured till I took over office.

Before God and man the only fee you will pay to DHL security department is their security safe keeping/ dumurrage which will only cost you $285 us dollars, you have your consignment trunk box delivered to your destination address.

Onceagain, you will be required to reconfirm your receiving home address and telephone number and a copy of your international passport or driving license to avoid wrong delivery and to enable our delivery agent recognize your person immediately he arrived your door step.
