"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: For charity

my dear,
I am Mrs Verenice Thubber, I am a widow currently suffering from Leukemia,I
am writing you from my hospital bed in London just to make you receive the
money i have in my bank account and use it to take care of the poor
children, the disabled and the under privileged and vulnerable in the
society.
Though i may understand how surprised you will be on receiving my message
since we may not have met before. It came such an urgent after my doctor
revealed to me that i might die soon following the complications of my
present health challenge so i decided to look for a way of willing out my
money.
I have the sum of Five million dollars ($5,000,000) which i deposited in a
bank in far away African country of Nigeria during sojourn in that country. My
husband has worked as a contractor with Chevron oil company in Nigeria before
he retired home to the United States to old age and has died from cancer of
the lungs two years ago.I have actually inherited the money from my late
husband and have left it in a safe keeping vault in the bank. Our marriage of
25 years did not produce any child after my husband was diagnosed of low
sperm count making him unable to produce a child from me.
Because of our love for each other we accepted to remain faithful to each
other as true Christians and never to adopt any child until his death.
Before his death,we have often visited the motherless babies and the old
people homes to offer donations ranging from cash and other charitable
materials.

I am 68 years and having recognized my present health condition i have
decided to leave behind my possession to a God fearing individual who will
do with the money the same way i and my husband have been doing for charity.
I have selected you out of many individuals i have got on my search list
because i am certain you will not disappoint my intent.
I will like you to reply me so urgently because i am afraid i might drop dead
at any moment going by my present predicament.

When i receive your email,i will be introducing you to the bank where i have
kept the money so you may receive the money from them .
I am a Christian and i am hoping to do as the bible preaches on giving to the
poor and i hope to achieve this through you.

I expect to hear from you soonest

Kindly respond to my personal email:verenicethubber@hotmail.com

Sincerely

Mrs Veronica Thubber
