"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Meanwhile, it is my view that this proposal could look out of place but It is important you have a good analysis of the proposal being put forward to you

A client of ours had an investment in one of the reputable blue chip company(s) which had a maturity date of 12th October, 2012 and with a cash value in excess of U.S.$ 3.5m but yet to file in the necessary papers to allow for the remittance of this funds to his account

The reason for this to see the possibility of establishing a strong partnership towards having you as the next of kin to the deceased with a view to having the funds DISTRIBUTED between us

Realize that once you show a significant level of co-operation, we shall file the necessary papers for the release of the funds to you under a 65:35 percentage sharing ratio.

Hoping to hear from you.

Sincerely,

George Newman,
