"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am so sorry for sending you this unsolicited and unexpected mail. I am Abdulrahman Hassan the senior assistance to the late President Mammaur Gaddafi who has entrusted to me the sum of $25,000,000.00 (Twenty Five Million US Dollars) cash in a sealed security luggage few days before he was killed by the NTC Rebels here in Libya.

My late boss instructed me to escape with this Fund to Algeria where his wife is currently in asylum but I diverted the entire movement of the Fund to a secured security vault in Europe because I am personally against all the atrocities he committed against my fellow innocent Libyans and the looting of our natural resources by him and his family. Actually I would count myself a lucky man because the news is all over about the jury concerning the two Gadaffi sons and other of his men.
