"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Greetings

Hello,

Kindly, allow me to introduce myself; I’m Barrister Nelson D. James, from Soweto region South Africa. I want to seek your consent on this transfer deal, my late client Ibrahim Coulibaly, known as "General IB" has private escrow account with a leading bank in Malaysia before his death Thursday 28th April 2011, four years ago which I privately assisted him to move the sum from  Ivory-Coast to Malaysia bank.

However, I would like you to re-confirm this site to know the person involve am talking about [http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/28/ivory-coast-renegade-warlord-ibrahim-coulibaly] The reason bringing you into it is very simple which I will inform you the role to play in securing the sum out to your account.

Thank you.

Yours Faithfully,
Nelson D. James.
