"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I NEED YOUR HELP

Dear,

I am a banker and I know my mail will sound crazy to you but I want
you to believe me because its real and I have all necessary
documentation to proof to you.
I am writing to suggest a business of mutual understanding between us.
i recently found out through the ledgers that the account has been
dormant and had NOT been active for over 12 years now.

After careful study and investigation, I found out that this customer
has been deceased for over 14 years now and with no documented next of
kin in our files .
I want to confide in you and see if it will be possible for us to work
things out and I fill in your name as the next of kin to the late
customer since I have access to the files ,then you will own up and
apply for the released of the funds in the account and close of his
account .

This I want to discuss with you and we agree and do it because there
is no further contact to any living relative or family.
And I believe the bank will look into it in matter of months and we
are entering another new banking year, so
all funds stagnant or dormant for 15 years are deemed Unclaimed
Bank will move the funds into the UNCLAIMED FUNDS account and it will
means the directors of the bank getting richer , driving expensive
cars and lavish lifestyles.

But we can claim this money with me being an insider and we share it
,donate some to Old people homes and Orphanages. I know it sound
wicked but its the truth and no need for moral lesson as if we do not
claim it ,then the rich will get richer because it is the banks policy
on Fixed Deposit .

So carefully ponder on this and see if it is a venture you can
undertake as it does not have an risk involved and I have all plans
perfected .
If you are ready then I will give you further details on the amount
and next step.

I AM WRITING YOU FROM MY PERSONAL EMAIL and hope you understand that
utmost secrecy is needed and no need asking questions to the bank as
it will raise an eyebrows
Thanks
