"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I NEED YOUR HELP

Dearest one,
I am quite aware that my message will come to you as a surprise as it’s
indeed strange for someone you have not met before to contact you in this
regard. I apologize for the inconvenience that this letter may cause you.
I am Kendra Arifa Ramatu, I write you this letter in good faith hoping
that I will rely on you in this project that require absolute
confidentiality and of great interest and benefit to both of us.

I am a student of Theology Seminary School Bouaké, I benefited by
succession the sum of USD$3.5 Million dollars from my late father. Sadly
my father was reported to be among death victims on the 29 MAY earthquake
in Kathmandu, Nepal that left over 9000 people dead while he was there on
a tourist visit. I want to invest this money in your country and I want to
invest through your support. I decide to invest in your country due to
economic and political stability of your country.

Can you help me? If you accept my proposal, we shall divide the investment
profit at the sharing ratio of 50/50.

Kindly forward your response to me for more specifics.
Faithfully,
Ms. Kendra Arifa Ramatu.
