"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

RE: FINAL NOTIFICATION ON FOREIGN PAYMENT.


In line with the recent directive by the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria,President Muhammadu Buhari, authorizing
this office to verify/reconcile the entire approved Payment File certified OK SINCE LAST YEAR QUARTER PAYMENT OF YEAR
2016.


The Presidency in collaboration with the Senate Committee on Foreign Payment decided unanimously and issued an irrevocable payment instruction to the FOREIGN PAYMENT UNIT OF AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK GROUP NIGERIA, to transfer your fund under 72Hrs upon the re-confirmation of your Payment/Banking information.


Subsequently we received a sudden application for change of your bank account by some person{s} stating that you are
dead and that they are your Next-of-kin, with a new bank account, which has been processed and approved by the Federal Ministry of Finance.


But Mrs.Herve Assah DIRECTOR ECOBANK NIG PLC has refused to honor this application for change of account and insisted that you will be contacted for verification purpose before the transfer will be done.
