"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I crave your indulgence

Dear Friend,

With respect and humanity, I was forced to write to you under a
humanitarian ground. My name is Mrs. Elena Bradst, My husband was a
director in a trading company here in United Kingdom. We were married for
36 years without a child. He died after heart artery surgery.

Just last week my doctor said I would not last for the next eight months
because of I have cancer and stroke. Before my husband died, he put the sum
of two million Six hundred thousand dollars (US$2,600,000) in a Security
Company which I shall disclose the details to you in my next email.

Currently, this money is safe as deposited by my late husband our future
use. But due to my health condition, I decided to donate this fund to you
in good faith and blind trust. I want someone who will use this fund as
desired by my deceased husband to help less privileged, orphanages,(For
Charity work).

I made this decision because I do not have a child who will inherit this
fund, and for this reason, I am taking this decision to give you this fund,
as I don't have much time left and want you to always remember me in your
prayers.

Reply this message as soon as possible as any delay in your reply will give
me chance to contact another person for the same purpose.

God bless you, as I hope to hear from you so soon.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Elena Bradst.
