"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Dear Friend

Dear Friend,

I am writing this message with tears in my eyes and great sorrow in my heart
because my doctor announced to me that I have less than one month to live.
I have Esophagus Cancer which has grown through the walls of my
esophagus, although I don’t really understand all these medical terms. It has spread
to all the organs of my body through my blood system and the doctor said I
will not be able to survive my surgery looking at the extent of damages it has caused
to my body system. I have made up my mind to give up everything I have so that the
poor kids of the world can benefit from it.

Base on this, I want to transfer my fund of $3.5 Million to you for a charity project in
helping the orphans under my name. I want you to use this fund judiciously on this charity
project which I am now leaving in your care before my death. I am offering you 20% of
the total fund, while 80% will go direct to the charity project to ensure that my dream
project is actualized to the glory of Allah.

Kindly send me the below information on fatk52@hotmail.com for more details.

Full Address:
Age/Sex:

I beg you to be praying for me, and may Allah add more anointing upon you, and give
you more wisdom to handle this project to his own Glory. Do confirm the receipt of my
message.

Best Regards,
Mrs. Fatimah Karim.
