"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Hello

I offer my friendship and my greetings,
I write you this letter from a sorrowful and emotional Laddered soul,
that needs compassion from a kind and good-spirited person to carry
out my last wishes and I will very much appreciate it.  I swear with
my life and  I promise you that you will not regret this day,  as long
as your heart is pure and sincere

I am Mrs. Yoshiko Azumi the wife of the late Mr. Humfrey. I am
Japanese. my husband worked with  America Embassy Washington D.C for
eleven years, before he died in a fatal motor accident. after his
death in the year 2013. I decided not to re-marry,

We were married for ten years without a child. My late husband
deposited the sum of $8.3million dollars with a bank in Turkey. The
bank management just wrote me as the beneficiary to come forward to
sign for the release of this fund or rather issue a letter of
authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf if I can not come
over.

Presently, I'm in a hospital in London where I have been undergoing treatment
for esophageal cancer. My doctor has told me that I have only a few
months to live. It is my last wish to see this money distributed to
charity organizations/poor people, Because my husband relatives and
friends have plundered so much of my wealth since my illness, I cannot
live with the agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any of
them.

Please, I'm seeking for an honest person who will get the Funds from
the bank and use 60% for charity organizations and keep the remaining
40% for Himself. I came across your email while making research about
AMERICAN medicine on google and I saw your account, and my spirit
pushed me to contact you for help. I took this decision because I
don't have any child that will inherit this money and I don't want my
husband's hard-earned money to be misused by his greedy relatives.

The best part of it is that the paying bank told me in the
attestation letter, that they can have the funds released to any
approved person, that was authorized by me, so that the funds will be
transferred to his or her bank account, anywhere in the world. What I
seek for, is a kind and good-spirited person who will carry out my
last wishes and before I wrote you today, I prayed and my spirit gave
me the confidence, to send you this message. I took this decision
before I rest in peace because my time will soon be up. As soon as I
receive your reply, I will give you the contact information of the
paying Bank with instructions on how and whom to contact, in regard to
this matter at hand. I will also issue you a letter of authority, that
will prove you as the original- beneficiary of this said funds. I want
you to always pray for me because God is my shepherd. All I need from
you is a confidential assurance that the funds when received by you,
will be used for the said purpose. Nowadays, it is difficult to trust,
but I don’t know why my spirit still accepts and approved me to
message you about this, because I do not want someone who will run
away with my money, and not fulfilling my wishes. You are the first
and last person I will contact about this matter. Please, assure me
that you will accept accordingly, I await your urgent reply.

Regards,
Mrs. Yoshiko.
