"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: PROPOSAL FOR GOLD PARTNERSHIP BUSINESS RELATION

Dear

PROPOSAL FOR GOLD PARTNERSHIP BUSINESS RELATION

My name is Mr Kwabena Dufuor. I am a representative of local small
scale gold miners in the west African region of Ghana. The miners are
eager to purchase some excavators, bulldozers and washing machine for
their mining work.

They are willing to put up 50KG of Gold bar/ Dust for sale at
USD$38,000 Per Kilo at local market price. See below our terms and
conditions of the gold materials:

Commodity: AU Gold Bar and Gold Dust
Quantity: 500 KG
Quality:22+Carat
Purity: 92.8%
Price: USD $38,000 / KG
Origin: Ghana

The fact of the matter is that, whoever they will hand over this
product to sell on their behalf, will also be the person to manage all
subsequent shipments of gold they hope to send overseas.I was
wondering if you were available, I would want you to take up this
process and be in the position to manage this transaction for these
villagers.

The brand of machinery they need is CAT/CATERPILLAR.

The good thing is that, whatever price they give to you is what they
will expect to be use to purchase the machines, whatever you are able
to sell above their selling price will be shared among you and I. Let
me hear from you as soon as possible to know how we can move forward.
Best Regards,
Mr Kwabena Dufuor.
