"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I NEED URGENCY FOR THIS PROPOSAL

OFFICE OF THE MANAGER AUDITING AND ACCOUNTING BANK IN
OUAGADOUGOU BURKINA FASO
C/O: Mr Fred Maurice Herbert.
GREETINGS PLEASE:

Greetings please,

You are receiving this from auditing and accounting department Coris Bank
International Burkina Faso. I am contacting you as a manager to the above
stated office for a business proposal that requires your immediate
attention. I have a plan to move a certain fund (US$13.5 million) out of
this Bank with a help of a foreigner. The depositor died years ago and till
now the fund has been dormant without claim.

I have extensively made some researches for any possible heir or
beneficiary to the fund but of no avail. I decided to put claim to the fund
through a capable foreigner.
I sat down and architected the possible network system for swift moving of
the fund into your account. I will make provision of documents and
directives for smooth running of your claim on the fund and ensure that our
Bank releases this fund to you as the rightful heir. If you are interested
in receiving this fund into your account, please indicate immediately and i
will further furnish you with more details about the fund.

I proffer equal disbursement of the fund between us after the smooth
transfer to your possible bank account.

I am always at your disposal for any clarification.

My regards,
Mr Fred Maurice Herbert.
