"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

My name is Miss Rosemary Kamarah. The only daughter of Late General
Mohammed Kamarah the former Director of military inteligence and acting
General Manager of the Sieria Leone Diamond Mining Coperation (SLDMC ). I
am contacting you to seek your good assistance to transfer and invest
USD $25,500,000(Twenty five Million,Five hundered United States Dollars
Only) belonging to my late father which is deposited in a security
company in Accra-Ghana. This money was earned as revenues from solid
minerals and diamonds sales which were under my fathers possession before the
civil war broke out. Following the brake out of the war, almost all
government offices, co-operations and parastatals were attacked and
vandalized. The SLDMC was loothed and burnt down to ashes,Diamonds worth
millions of dollars were stolen by the rebel military forces who attacked
my fathers office. Many top government officials and senior army
officers were assasinated and my father was a key target because of his very
sensitive military position and appointment in the SLDMC. Sadly, my
father was captured and murdered along with his half brother in cool blood
during a mid-night rebel shoot-out when our official residence in
freetown was ambushed by Fordey Sanko the notorious rebel leader.

y mother sustainded very severe bullet injuries which resulted to her
untimely and painful death in a private hospital here in Accra-Ghana.
Now I am alone in a totally strange country without parents, relatives
or anybody to care for me at my tender age. Before my mother died, she
told me that my father deposited some money which he made from diamond
sales and contracts at a Security Company in Accra-Ghana and that I
should pray and find a trust worthy foreign business partner who would help
me to transfer and invest this money in profitable business venture
overseas. She told me to do this quickly so that I can leave Ghana with my
cousin brother who is here in the refugee camp with me and then settle
down abroad to avoid been traced. She gave me all the deposit documents
to prove to the Security Company and then told me that my father used
my name as the only person who has the right to choose the next-of-kin
to the deposit. She also told me that my father declared the contents of
the Consignment as Family Treasure in order not to raise eyebrows.

The last words that came out of her mouth was (And i Quote)...Rosemary,
this fund is your only success in life and this is the reason why
we came to Accra. Please Rosemary, make sure you invest this money wisely
to help you in your entire life. My mother died afterwards. May her
gentle soul rest in perfect peace. If you are willing to assist me, please
let me know immediately and provide me with your full contact details
for us to proceed.

Please note that I will be presenting you as the next-of-kin since i
am 19 years old and still a student.I trust that you will help me in
transfering and investing this money abroad in a viable venture. I have
also decided to offer you 25% of the total money as a token of
appreciation when the money is transfered to you successfully. You will also
manage the company for me since i will still have to complete my education
in accordance with my mothers advise. I am interested in any profitable
commercial venture which you consider very good in your country and i
will plead with you to get a school for me and my Cousin so that I can
finish my college education after the money is transfered to you.

I am hoping to hear your urgent response. Thank you and may God bless
you and your dear family.

In God We Trust.
