"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: GOD BLESS YOU.

Beloved In Christ,

Calvary greetings in the name of our Lord , I am REV.BEN WILLIAMS, a new
born again who will not allow this young man sweat go into government treasory
account rather i prefare it should be used to glorify God. I am now a new
Christian convert,From all indications, I am critically ill according to
my doctor it is quite obvious that I may not survive the sickness, although
as a christain,I believe God and I know that I will not die, I will leave
to declare the glory of God. My client Mr Prince Kato a foreigner like you
,an industralist died few years ago.

My Clien Late Prince Kato was very wealthy he has a lot of properties including
Shares and houses. Befor the death of my client, he deposited $5 million
with Union Bank Plc and made numbered time (fixed)deposit for twenty-four
calender months, valued USD$5 Million (Five million U.S dollars)in my branch.

Upon maturity,i sent a routine notification to his forwarding adress but
got no reply.After a month,I sent a reminder and finally,I discovered from
his contract employers, the Nigerian Petroleum Corporation that Mr. Prince
Kato died few years ago. On further investigation,i found out that he died
without making a (WILL),and all attempts to trace his next of kin was fruitless.I
therefore made further investigation and discovered that Mr. Prince Kato
did not declare any next of kin or relations in all official documents, including
his bank deposit paper in my bank.

This sum of FIVE MILLION UNITED STATES DOLLARS (USD$5 Million) is still
sitting in my bank and the interest is beign rolled over with his principal
sum at the end of each year.Consequently,my proposal is that i will like
you as a foreigner to stand in as the next of kin to Mr Prince Kato.Presently, all
the informations regarding to the money he deposited is with me as his audithor. Now
that my sickness has gone to this stage, I am scared and I want the fund
to be used for the work of God all over the world, instead off me to allow
the money go into government account. I have prayed and I told God to direct
me to an honest Christian who will claim this money as a next of KIN to
late Prince Kato and utilise it for things that will glorify the name of
God.

After my prayers, I searched through the Internet, I found your email address
and I decided to contact you. Please if you are interested in using this
fund for the work of God, please send to me your full names , your private
telephone number, your fax number and your bank information but make sure
there is no money inside the account you want to send. You can leave $20
dollars inside the accounts just to make it active .This is my alternative
email address revben_williams2004@yahoo.com
I await your urgent reply.

Thanks and God bless you.
REV.BEN WILLIAMS
