"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dear sir,

I Beg Of You To Go Through This Mail And Get Back To
Me Urgently.

Please do not be embarrassed or feel skeptical about
this mail because of unfamiliarity seck. My writing
and requesting you to help me get my funds out of a
troubled situation bothers on family preassure.

All the same, This is my identity+ I am Mr.Ahiwo Dan Mazuri
the son of first cousin to president Charles Tailor of
Liberia who is now in Exile in Nigeria. The subject of
this matter was that when the United Nations and
ECOWAS came in to settle the problems between Charles
Tailor and the Rebels, and they both agreed to go to
Ghana for peace talk. Then, Charles Tailor now used my
father to lobby and buying support for his government.
And he gave my father huge sums of money and as my
father moved down to Ghana, he saved some money out of
what was given to him.

Before the peace talk with the rebels and government
of charles tailor held in Ghana, it was surprising to
hear that charles tailor and my father had a dispute
concerning the money he gave my father in one of the
meetings in Niger Republic before the Ghana peace
talk;after a short time my father was declared dead ,i
can not really say for sure what happens but charles
said that my father acted as his enemy.

Prior to the time Tailor gave my father this money, the
rebels already have anounced that president Tailor
should step down. so my father saw reason not to spend
all the money negotiating and buying support for
president Tailor support to stay. He deposited some
part of the money in a security company in Ghana and
ask them to ship it to Europe where he wanted to send
me before his sudden death.

Now, I have finished my education and my mother and my
elder sisters are now preasurising me to negotiate
with a foreigner who will help us claim this money out
from the security and finance company in Europe since
we did not know the foreigner whom our father used as
his partner. Please, I am confiding in you on this
matter with all amount of trust believing that you
will keep it to yourself and not to exppose it. As
Charles Tailor still see and labelled my family as
traitors and can send his agents in Liberia to kill
me.

In view, of all I am saying you can go through this
mail and get back to me and let us discuss it and you
can verify what I am saying. by reading through these
