JOHANESSBURG,SOUTH AFRICA.
You may be surprise to receive this mail from me since you do know me
personally, I got your contact from a friend who runs a consultance firm in
my country and recently returned from a trade show in your country.
I am PAUL JABAL GABANG, the first son of late DR ZIMAN SAMSON GABANG
was recently murdered by the JANJAWEED malatia group in darfur western
sudan.
My father an oil dealer and a part time sedentary farmer also a community
and church leader was invited to a peace meeting along side 20 other elders
by the government of sudan and few minutes into the meeting the rebels
stormed the venue and over powered the police and singled out my father and
seven other darfur citizens and murdered them in cold blood and till this
hour their bodies were not released to the families for burial.
However before my dad”s death, he had taken to johanessburg south Africa
and deposited the sum of us$15.500.000.00(fifteen million five hundred
thousand united states dollars) with a security and finance company.
The money was earmarked for the purchase of long haulage oil and gas trucks
and accecesories for the proposed fuel stations/garages.
Darfur is inhabited by a variety of people ,generally constituting two
district groups ,black Africans such as fur masalit and zaghawa and oriental
arabs tribes collectively termed Baggara, who settled in the region from
about the 13th century onwards both groups are muslims ,however
relationships between them have long been tense.
The two groups have differing economic needs ,which led to clashes , the
fur and masalit are primarily sedentary farmers and businessmen while the
arabs are normadic heardsmen ,which has brought them into conflict over
acess to land and water reasources .
The sudanesse govt has had a military dictatorship since 1958, a civil war
between the govt and the mostly non-muslim Africans population of southern
sudan broke out in 1962 and continued with a break between 1972 and 1983
,until a ceasefire was declared in 2002.
While the conflict has political basics ,it has also acquired an ethinic
dimension in which civilians were delibratelly targeted on the bases of
their religious,ethinicity and economic undertakings.
A united nations team reported that non-arabs villages were singled out
while arab villages were left untourched , saying that the tatics are more
akin to the ethinic cleasing used in the Y ugoslav wars, B russels based
international crises group has reported that over 200,000 people have died
, 1.2 million people are displaced from their homes, heads of governments
from he west especially Britain,USA, ASIA, E.U and A.U have voiced their
condenmnation of the sudannesse government handling of the crises which the
sudanesse president described as mere shirmish.
After my dad died ,the government and her agents searched our house and
seized items and treathened to kill us if we ever ask for his remains for
burial and the movement for social justice and peace helped us into south
Africa where now seek assylum. I am saddled with the task of seeking a
person or company to help us transfer the fund out of here for investment
abroad as the asylum laws will not permit us to operate any financial
transactions.
