"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

I am Mrs. Theresa John, wife of late Dr. Michael John, the financial director of Nigeria Petroleum coporation (NNPC) my Husband, Late Dr. Michael John was the financial director of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), he died on 27th August 2003 after a brief illness and left me and my four children behind.

Now his assistant took over his position and since september, when he took that position, he started writing pertition against my Husband thats he looted $95 Million Dollars, because, when my Husband was alive, he was not in good terms with him. Although, there was a deal my Late Husband did with the FederalGovernment and the money was not up to that mount and he invested almost half of the money in building houses here in Abuja and Lagos and because of the petition from the present financial director of Nigerian National Petroleum Coporation (NNPC) the government have seized the whole money we have in the Bank here in Abuja and Lagos, even the whole houses the government have also seized, because the governement asked me about the money and I told them I did not know anything about the money.

My main reason of contacting you is that my Late Husband left US$10.5 Million united states dollars in a security company here in Abuja which nobody know about except me, my late Husband and my four kids. And it was only last week I told my family lawyer about the money in the security company and he advised me that the best thing I should do is to find a way on how to take the money out of the country before it will be too late. For that reason, I decided to transfer this money out of the country as soon as possible because that is our only hope. I met one of my friends working with a courier service and told her about my problem. Then, she agreed to help me If I can keep it secret between the two of us and pay her US$500,000 dollars for her settlement and US$27,500 for courier service charge to transfer the consignment out of Nigeria.

What I only need from you now is your assurance that you will safegaurd the money until when I come over there. your percentage share for safeguarding the money and your contact information so that I can start processing it now. Again, I would like to hear from you as soon as possible to know how much you will collect for assisting me, because you will equally direct me on how to invest the money there in your country without any problem.

Mind you, that said amount in the two boxes are US$10.5 Million Dollars. God of the widows will surely reward you for safegaurding this money for me. Expecting to hear from you for more clarification. Your assistance is highly needed. Awaiting your immediate response so as to discuss the joint sharing formular.

Thanks and God Bless you.
Mrs. Theresa John
