"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir ,
Compliment of the season to you, I write to solicit your favour not Minding that we have not known each other before putting this proposal to you. In brief introduction, I am Mr. Partrick Djaba son of Mr. Djaba Johnson who was a former minister of Finance before his death.

We are presently in West Africa in the status of a refugee. My parents recently passed away two years ago after a terrible illness in Lome-Togo. Before his death he reveled to me a deposited a family treasure that contain the sum of US$26 million and some kilograms of gold at a Finance Company in Ghana.

I am contacting you based on evacuating the family treasure for me, to a more politically stable country as yours and I will appreciate your efforts in searching and recommending some viable investment areas in your country for a Joint partnership venture with you. I promise to offer you up to 25% as commission as soon as you are able to prove to me your ability to convey this money and your trustworthy partner to me, where this money will be in your care, because I am not at all knowledgeable in the business environment.
