"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: GOD BLESS YOU

From: Miss Yolande Gboho

Dearest ,

I am Miss. Yolande Gboho the only daughter, of late Mr. Steve Gboho, a Dan
in Republic of Cote D'ivoire. I am 19 years of age now. I hope that this
mail will not be an embarrassment to you because we have not know each other
before.

But I contacted you for a reason which is very important and sincere and
please i hope it will mark the beginning of never-ending relationship between
us. Read below:

On early fate day, we recieved the visit of some unidentified armed men
by 2:30 am who declared that they are from the national security forces
and my parents were taken away(father and mother)before me and my junior
brother . Later, after three (3) days while we are worried with this situation
without news about them, We learnt from our church priest the attrocities
by this unidentified uniformed soldiers called (escadrons de la morts) of
our parents of which both the rebels and Government refuse the origin.

Later according to certain indications, Accused, suspected and believed
that my father has been given financial support to Militia Rebels who invaded
and took control of our town Vavoua from the Government soldiers because
our father was a prosperous general merchant in Vavoua.

My mother died instantly but my father was taken to a private hospital for
urgent treatments. Then i was taken to the hospital to assist him. A week
later, I didn't know that my father was going to leave me also after that
of my mother and her corps was still in the mortuary.

But before my father gave up to ghost, it was as if he knew he was going
to die. He, my father, may his soul rest in peace, disclosed to me (because
i was by his side in the hospital till his death) that he deposited
the sum of US$12,500,000.00 (Twelve Million, five hundred thousand United
States Dollars Only) in a fixed deposit account with a bank in Abidjan in
favour of a foreign partner whom he did not disclose any identity to the
bank.

That the money was meant for the payment of order of importation of machineries
for a coffee processing plant, a company which he wanted to establish in
Abidjan but later with-hold the project because of the startment of the
war.
He signed an agreement that the money should be transferred to the foreign
trustee after the contract but unfortunately he did not live to achieve
it and he was assassinated while the contract was not completed.

It has happened and my parents has been buried and by the grace of God,
because after the death of our parents, the rebels disposed all our parents
properties and we ran out empty handed except this deposit document he directed
me the location. After discovering the documents, we were aided by our church
pastor in Vavoua to enter to Abidjan where we are still on hide out because
we are affraid for our life sake.

But since I have no experience or interest in this type of business, My
father while on hospital bed knows that and instructed me as if he knows
he is going to die to seek a reliable and trust worthy person or partner
who will assist me to secure and transfer this money to a country of my
choice for another investment so that the future of i and my little brother
will be assured.

Having no one of confidence i know, I am soliciting for your assistance
to help me to secure and transfer this money to your account,
When I join you, we can then invest jointly in any meaningful lucrative
business in your country because this is my only hope in life. We are
promising a significant 20% reward to you which will be deliberated upon
your
acceptance to this offer.

Waiting anxiously to hear from you so that i can give you more updates concerning
the deposit.

Thanks for your kind attention and expected positive response

Yours sincerely,
Miss. Yolande Gboho
