"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: COULD YOU BE OF HELP?

Dear Anticipated Partner,

Let me start by introducing myself as Mujahid Dokunbo Asari, The armed leader
of the Niger-Delta people

volunteer force in the South-South part of Nigeria.

This group has been fighting the Government, hijacking oil vessels in the
high sea etc. for some time now

because of marginalization of our area by the government. This group is
highly aggrieved because the

Niger-Delta of Nigeria which will represent comprising mainly Bayelsa, Rivers,
and Delta State. Account for

about 95% of the income of the Nigeria government and these States whose
inhabitant are of Ijaw ethnic

Nationality are one of the least develop state in Nigeria especially Bayelsa
State. According to a World

Bank Report of 1995, the cases of water-borne diseases and poor transportation
infrastructure in Bayelsa

are the worst in the Country. The exploitative policies of the government
make living precarious.

With all the revenues generated from these area, the Niger-Delta area remains
pervasively poor and

underdeveloped, lacking virtually all forms of social amenities infrastructure.
The area now has a

regrettable legacy of hunger, unemployment, communal conflict and all forms
of social insecurity.

Effort by our past leaders to correct these anomalies (past activist like
Adaka Boro, Dennis Fiberesima

and Ken Saro-wiwa) has led to establishment of Niger-Delta development Board,
NDDB in 1961, Niger-Delta

River Basin Development Authority, NDBDA 1976, Oil Minerals Producing Area
Development Commission,

OMPADEC in1992, and Niger-Delta development commission NDDC in 2000 all
these without positive

results, because of ingenuiness and insincerity in the establishment of
all these board and commissions.

Some of these past leaders were killed by government like Ken Saro-wiwa
was killed by hanging by the

then military head of state, General Sanni Abacha. That is why the onus
is on us to solve these problems

once and for all.

Recently we had meeting with president and some state governors from our
area. All the government want

is a cease-fire which they have achieved and what the group on the other
hand have achieved from the

government is to allow us and provide us with the political space and enabling
environment to operate, to

campaign and agitate the fundamental issues of self-determination, resource
control and above all you

development. The federal government and the state governors have taken a
bold step in the right

direction for once by making available some amount of money for this course.

The money voted for us as a body to develop the youth and forestall youth
restiveness by establishing

Ultra-Modern Youth Centre that will cater for the unending needs of the
youths, by the Federal and state

government was donated as follows Federal government - $ 5.5 million, Delta
State-$1.5 million, Bayelsa

State - $2.5 million and Rivers State - $ 2.0 million. The whole money amounted
to $11.5 million. This money

is lodged in a designated account in Central Bank of Nigeria.

You might be wondering how this concerns you. This is where your assistance
is needed.

1. To help transfer this funds into your nominated account abroad because
our government is not

trustworthy.

2. To act as a credible foreign partner in establishing this Youth development
centre in the Niger-Delta

area of Nigeria.

3. To genuinely assist to the end until the implementation of these projects.

For your effort you will be given 15% of the total amount and 5% is set
aside for any expenses you might

incur during the process of this transfer.

If you feel comfortable with this proposal, kindly act fact by sending your
full names, Tel/Fax Number to me

and our Attorney, Barrister Akinade Moredayo (SAN) (akinslawfirm@myway.com),
who will act on our behalf

throughout the process of these transactions.

Please do not reply if you are not competent in handling this project and
comfortable with this proposal.

Thanking you in anticipation of your earliest cooperation.

M. D. Asari

Leader of NDPVF
