"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Subject: Indeed for all

Greetings from my sick bed,

It all happened two weekd ago. I was in a murder attack. My wife and son
both died instantly. I am only alive now through the grace of God. I am
a very successful farmer here in Zimbabwe having lived here for the past
58 yrs of my life. This is my home and all about me is here in this country.
I am presently in a very bad state as the doctors are saying that I have
a prostrate cancer and as a result of the attack but kidneys of mine are
bad and I need a transplant urgently.

I have decided that there is no need for living having lost all that my
life is worth, my wife and son. I see no reason to start life again. I have
presently signed a darft for a silent death to be carried on my behalf and
have handed my estates to an old time lawyer of mine to pass as charity
here for hungry and homeless children.

I also have a deposit of cash (US$13,900,000) in a box in a security company
in abroad which I equally want to give to charity too. I want to know if
you would like to be used in this regard to collect the box of cash and
then distribute to charity orgainsations that you know the world over. I
feel it will make a great impact in the lives of many that needs it more.
I decided to contact you being a stranger to me so you can be plain to everyone
that you give this money to being a neutral one. You will be highly rewarded
from the money for you good.

If you are interested, kindly send me your names, contact addrress and phone
numbers so I can pass them to my lawyer who will give you the details of
the security company so you can lay claim for the box of money at once.
And be a blessing to many this great season of the Grace of God, Christmas.
Mail me through (ludrophh@tiscali.co.uk)

I hope I hear from you soonest.

Regards,
Ludroph Cane
