"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear,
I got your contact details from the international
Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Johannesburg,
South Africa.
I am Mr. SILVA PEDRO, from the Republic of Angola.
My father was the exterior affairs minister in the
Angolan rebel leader, JONAS SAVIMBI. At the mid term
of the rebellion, which is still on till to date, my
father, thinking very fast, decided to send my younger
brother and i out of Angola because the fate of our
country was yet to be decided. My brother and I left
Angola for South Africa with the total sum of US$16M
(SIXTEEN Million, United States Dollars), sealed in a diplomatic baggage
meant for the
purchase of arms from South Africa. On arrival in
South Africa, because we are political asylum seekers,
we were not allowed to operate a bank account here in
South Africa.
So with the instruction of my father, we deposited the
money in a Private Security Company for safe keeping.
Though we did not disclose the actual content of the
baggage to the Security Company for security reasons,
because we wanted to be on the safer side. We told
them that this baggage belongs to our foreign
affiliate who is the beneficiary of this consignment.
Unfortonately, because of my father's political
position and influence, he was assassinated. Since
then, we have been looking for a reliable and
trustworthy partner who will help us to transfer this
money into a personal or company account overseas, for
investment purpose in his country. Luckily, we ran
into your contact details you to see if you can be of
any help to us.
Please note that this transaction is 100% risk free on
your side as we have concluded all modalities to aid
this transfer.
Should this meet your utmost consideration, please
give us your most ealiest reply through my e-mail
address. Be kind to provide us with your
communincation facilities for a hitch-free and
confidential link, which is your private telephone
numbers/fax numbers and also, your mobile phonenumbers
for easy communication.
Please feel free to ask any qustions you consider
neccessary regarding this transaction. The
confidentiality in this transaction cannot be over
emphasized as we trust and believe that you will
render us the needed security and attention it
demands. Please treat this proposal with absolute
confidentiality.
We intent to share this money SIXTEEN MILLION $ (US$16M) as follows:
1. 20% of the total sum goes to you if you assist us
in transfering this money sucessfully into any of your
overseas private or company account.
2. 10% of the total sum will be set aside to offset
all bills and expenses incurred in the process of this
transaction.
3. 70% of the total sum will be for my brother and I
for joint investment with you in any country, of which
you will be a guardian to for us.
NB: Please, if you are intersted in this transaction,
contact me on my e-mail address .

Yours faithfully,
Silva Pedro.
