Dear,
I approach you most honourably today for a mutual
business transaction.

I am (AMOS BABANGIDA), a senior accountant with the
Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (N.N.P.C). Now
by virtue of my present office and position I was
appointed to contact a trust and reliable person
abroad by my colleagues as we have the priveledge to
transfer the sum of ($42,000,000.00 Million USD)
fourty two million Dollars to your nominated account
based on a mutual trust.
This money accrued from over invoiced of a contract
with N.N.P.C and the contract amount was over inflated
from the original amount of ($120,000,000.00 USD) One
hundred and twenty million Dollars to
($162,000,000.00) One hundred and sixty two million
Dollars. I and two of my colleagues are soliciting for
your assistance in providing an account where this
money will be transfered into.
All necessary arrangements had been made for a hitch
free of this transaction for we are all government
officials and we do not want anything that will
tarnish our image because our reputation is at stake.
However, we have a strong contact with the present
minister of finance who we believe will be of a good
help in us towards the success of the transaction, you
do not have to entertain any fear at all for all
machines have been put in place to safegaurd you
during and after the money might have been remitted
into your nominated foreign account.
We solicit for your assistance because as civil
servants we do not have the right to acquire foreign
account while in service. We therefore request you to
kindly allocate any account of your choice with all
necessary particulars such as your name/companys'
name, bank particulars, telephone and fax numbers to
enable us to submit it through our lawyer to the
various ministries concerned for onward approvals of
the fund.
However, on receipt of your particulars, it will take

approvals, after which the Central Bank of Nigeria
will send to you the fund release order and thereby
wire the money to your nominated account and we shall
come down to your country for the disbursement of the
fund.
Sharing Modalities
We have decided to set aside 25% of the total sum for
your anticipated assistance while 60%will be set aside
for myself and my partners, 10% for the motherless and
the poor and the remaining 5% for incidental expenses
that might arise in the course of this transaction. I
would like to assure you that all modalities necessary
for the successful conclusion of this transaction have
been put in place so as to ensure a smooth transfer. I
