"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Read more about such scams here or in our 419 FAQ. Use the Scam-O-Matic to verify suspect emails.

Dear friend,
I am Mr Marcel Savimbi, personal assistant to Helena A. Perez, the President, White Farmers Association of Zimbabwe before her death.
I got your contact address from your country's trade journal. Your impressive and managerial records made me to solicit for your partnership in this regard.
Mrs Helena A Perez told me in confidence before her death of some money which belongs to the White Farmers Association of Zimbabwe (WFAZ) which she deposited in a security company in Madrid, Spain.
This deposit was made as a family treasure but the real content of the box is money to the tune of Fifty Million U.S Dollars (U:S$50M) which was meant for the purpose of sponsoring a candidate to challenge President Robert Mugabe in the last election which still saw him as the President of Zimbabwe.
Unfortunately she died of a heart attack (cardiac arrest) due to the pressure from Robert Mugabe to kill anybody who surports the White Farmers.
I have all the neccessary documents needed by the security company for the withdrawal of this consignment and all the neccessary arrangements have been concluded with the security company as regards the withdrawal of the box.
Please note the this transaction is 100% risk free, as nobody knows where I am and I am only operating with the help of my Lawyer , who takes care of all documentation aspect of the transaction.
Kindly get in touch with me on this e-mail address to indicate your interest in assisting me in this transaction.josavimbi@myway.com <mailto:transaction.josavimbi@myway.com>
Upon receipt of your mail, I will then give you the modalities on how we are to proceed in this business, and the sharing mode too.
Thanking you for your anticipated assistance and co-operation.
I expect your urgent reply,
Yours Sincerel
Joseph Savimbi.
