"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: URGENT ATTENTION

ATTENTION: THE PRESIDENT/CHAIRMAN
EXTREMELY CONFIDENTIAL
May I solicit your absolute confidentiality and trust concerning this
matter, which I consider very beneficial.

I am Phillips Parker, a staff of United Nations Aid Commission. As
a staff of the United Nations Aid Commission, I have served in several
countries on humanitarian basis. My past posting was in Iraq where I
spent many years.

Actually, your contact was via S.A.I.I.E.B. (South African International
Internet Exchange Bureau) in Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
while I was searching for a reputable confidential and honest person to do
this
Business together.

In the course of carrying out my task, I came in contact with a bank
manager of a prominent bank in Iraq. This manager eventually became my
close friend (name withheld for security reasons). He however sought my
assistance to help him move some large sum of cash to Europe because of
his intention to flee the country and seek political asylum as war in
Iraq was eminent.

I was successful in moving the cash sum of $45,000,000. 00USD (Forty
five million US dollars) which I deposited in a security company in
Europe together with other valuables. The security company is not
aware of the content of the consignment.

I concealed the cash and moved it together with my personal diplomatic belongings
in a United Nations
aircraft which came to airlift and evacuate United Nations aid workers at
the heath of the war by America and Britain against Saddam regime.
Unfortunately, I have made efforts to locate this bank manager which
has been unsuccessful.

I fear he might be dead since he has not contacted me in spite of having
all my contacts. I have therefore decided to invest this cash but because
of my position as a United Nations staff i don?t want to raise eye-brows
which may cause investigation on me.I intend to retire voluntarily from the
United Nations office to enable me concentrate entirely into business.

The security company has contacted me to come and collect the deposit
to avoid high demurrage. Because of these reason I decided to
contact you and need your honest, trustworthy assistance and cooperation
in order to collect and invest this cash for our mutual benefit. I will
need to be guaranteed that you can handle this huge amount of money for an
investment project.

I want you to send your personal Fax and Telephone Numbers for oral clarification,
Upon receipt of your positive response, I will suggest we meet to work out
modalities for the investment of the cash and/or the ratio you will receive
four your assistance.

I expect to have your urgent response Through my private e-mail
address: mrparkphillips@yahoo.com.au
This one opportunity we
can not afford to lose.
Best regards
DR. P. PARKER
