"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear sir/madam,

May the peace of the lord be with you, this letter may come to you as a
surprise since it is coming from someone you have not met before,however,we
got your contacts through the internet and we decided to contacts you for
this business.
Let me explain my self to you, I am badmus O. semion,
a Nigerian ,I am the only son of my father the former minister
of civil defence in the present civilian regime here in my country Nigeria.
I have a sister Lynda semion of sixteen years old (16yrs).Our mother died
at
our tender ages, since then, our father has been taking very good care of
us
before his untimely death by the present politicalcrisis here in my country.
Since the death of our father our condition has been very bad, no more schooling,
and other important amenities we can have, we are astray and stranded due
to the death of father.on the 10th Feb, 2003, we moved to our maternal home.On
one faithful day some time in june 2003, my father's lawyer visit to informed
us about the two boxes contaning 25.5 million dollars deposited by my father
as a family valuable in one security
firm in abroad whose name is withheld for now until we open communication.

However, we have searched in our father's private keeping vault in the house
and we have seen the keys of the boxes. All the relevant documents of this
deposited consignment containing the funds, are intact in the lawyer's
file.
Now we are looking for a trust worthy foreign partner who will assist us
by traveling to abroad were the security company is located to secure the
consignment and transfer it into a foreign account for investment purpose.

We agreed to offer the person 20% of the total amount and 10% for any expenses
he
may spend during the processes of the transaction.

We repose great confidence in you hence our approach to you to due to security
network placed on our day to day affairs we can not afford to visit the
embassy, that is why we have contacted you and we hope you will not betray
our confidence in you.
Please forward me the below information so that I will inturn forward them
to our lawyer, to enable him send you all the relevant documents that will
aid you in claiming the consignment containing the funds from the security
company.

2. A scaned copy of your international passport.
3. A brief history of your working experience
4. Nationality
5. Your management experience and ability (Past and present).
6. Your Private Phone and Fax number.
