"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Friend,

Re:Approval for the payment of the sum of $5.5 Million.

The above subject matter refers.

Please be informed that approval has been granted for the payment of the
sum of $5,500,000 (Five Million, Five hundred Thousand USD) to you being
funds you inherited from one of our deceased customer/client Late Mr. Gabriel
Gibson who passed away on the 30 Jan 2000,in an aircrash involving a Kenya
airways flight with registration number 5Y-BEN which departed Nairobi to
Lagos. I refer you to this link for further information regarding the crash:

http://www.bea-fr.org/docspa/2000/5y-n000130a/htm/5y-n000130a.html

In line with our operational procedure for the transfer of the Rights, Privileges
and Benefits of a deceased customer to his relative(s), a panel was set
up to conduct a detailed and thorough investigation into the matter. It
was during the course of this investigation that we discovered that the
deceased mentioned you in his Last Will and Testament, and willed the above
stated sum to you.

After due considerations and consultations with the relevant authorities
charged with the responsibility of administering the estate of the deceased,
it was decided to confer on you the status of the bona fide next of kin
and beneficiary of the deceased estate.

Meanwhile the decision to confer on you this status was reached 2 years
ago and it was also agreed that this development should be communicated
to you immediately so that you can make arrangements to claim what rightly
belongs to you. But I am surprised that till date nobody has contacted you
hence my decision to contact you.

I am Franklyn Ogala, Head Private Banking Dept. of Citi-Trust Finance &
Security Company, Lagos Nigeria. I was among the panel that conducted the
investigation 2 years ago. We submitted our report to the management hoping
that they will act on our recommendations but it is disheartening to note
till date the Management has not contacted you for obvious reasons.

According to the laws of the land, if after a certain period of time and
you fail to claim this fund; it will be taken over by the government and
declared as unclaimed balance. But to be frank with you, the management
deliberately refused to inform you about this so that you will forfeit the
money. The truth is that these greedy officials will not give the money
to the government; rather they will share it among themselves. I cannot
fold my arms and watch this deliberate ploy by these greedy officials to
deprive you of what rightly belongs to you hence my decision to inform you.

I am ready to help you claim this fund using my position as the Head of
Private Banking. I know this might sound incredible but be rest assured
that I have substantive evidence to prove what I related to you. I will
support you with all the relevant information including the deceased Death
Certificate so that when you get this money, you and I will share it thus:
70% for you, 30% for me rather than them taking everything.

Reply so that I can give you more information on how you can make this claim.
Meanwhile the services of a reputable attorney who will prepare the necessary
legal documents that will put you in place as the next of kin will be needed.
He will obtain the necessary documents and letter of probate/administration
in your favor for the transfer. Contact me with my confidential email address:
frankgala001@yahoo.ca

Best Regards,

Mr. Franklyn Ogala.
