"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

aware of the likes of the mails of this nature. I must let you know that
I did go through a search before I chose to come to you.

I am residing at Abidjan Cote d'Ivoire where my late father operated
on cocoa business before he met his death. My mother died when I was barely
three years. I was left with my step mother.

As odd as it may be to the situation of things today, I wish to
bring to your notice an inheritance we inherited from our late father, this
is to the tune of $5.5 million US dollars($5,500,000.00) Five million five
hundred thousand dollars. This fortune is stored in a trunk box and was
deposited by my late father in a private security firm as a personal effects
here in Cote d'Ivoire, since the 15th June 2002. Please, I will like to
bring to your notice, the situations that warrants that we must leave this
