"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

YOUR KINDEST ATTENTION:


It is my humble pleasure to write you this letter irrespective of the fact
that we've not met in
person. First, let me start by introducing myself properly to you.

I am BARRISTER. EDIYE WILLIAMS, a legal practitioner and personal attorney
to a deceased client of mine(names withheld for now, for security reasons),
who was a national of your country and a foreign staff of Inter-Bau Oil
and consulting services and here.

He died along with his wife and only Son on the Lagos-Ibadan Highway in
an auto crash on the 29th of March, 2000.
Since his tragic death, i have made frantic efforts to contact any other

five years).Subsequently, they will be transferred to the Federal Government
Reserves.
My proposal: I am seeking your permission to present you as the next of
kin to my late client, so that the funds totalling Nineteen million, Four
hundred thousand United states Dollars(USD$19.4M) would be subsequently
transferred and paid into your bank account as the beneficiary next of kin.
All documents and proofs to enable you get this fund have be carefully worked
out from my table and I will perfect every document to be in accordance
to the banking and inheritance laws and guidelines, hence you have nothing
to worry about as you a will bear no risk-free at all.
All i require from you is your permission, trust and sincerity to present
your details to the bank.For your assistance,20% of the money will be for
you, 5% for any expenses incurred, while 75% will be for me.

After you receive the funds in your bank account, i shall travel to meet
you and we shall share accordingly. i will also be interested in any lucrative
business venture you advise.If you are going to help me, please inform me
immediately by replying this letter, putting in your direct telephone and
fax numbers, so i can contact you to explain further.

I await your immediate reply to enable us start this transaction in earnest
as time is fast running out.
