"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Greeting,

I am Lawyer Bankey Moore, of REUBEN GOLDERMEN LAW OFFICES in London
England. I have a confidential business proposal for you.

Before the U.S invasion of Iraqi (Iraq war) our client General Ibrahim
Moussa who was with the Iraqi forces and also businessman and top
Government functionary under Saddam Hussein consulted us as his private
Attorneys in Europe that we wanted to secretly hide some of his assets in
a security company were nobody can locate it. We recommended a security
Company in Europe where he deposited the sum of US$92,500,000.00
(Ninety-two Million, Five Hundred thousand Dollars) only. This money was
Brought from Iraq to Europe by a diplomatic courier service in "SEALED
DIPLOMATIC CONSIGNMENTS" declared simply to be ASIAN ARTS & CRAFT. It is
Only me and him (God bless his memory) that knew that it contained money.
The officials of the SECURITY COMPANY do not know that it is money
Inside. The last time we met before the war he unequivocally confided in me
That no one except me knew of his deposit of the consignment in a
Security vault in Europe.

Unfortunately the "General" and his entire family were during the war
In bomb blast that hit there home. From the deposit documents with us
And further investigation at the Security Company we discovered that Gen.
Ibrahim Moussa did not declare any next of kin in his official papers
Including the paper work of the deposit of the consignments at the
Security Company. So the consignments containing US$92,500,000.00 is still
Lying in the security vault of the Finance & Security Company waiting
For us to present the next of kin to the deceased General. Against this
Backdrop, my suggestion to you is that I will like you as a foreigner to
Stand as the next of kin to Gen. Ibrahim Moussa so that you will be
Able to receive his consignments.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE: I want you to know that I have had everything
Planned out so that we shall come out successful. I as his attorney will
Prepare the necessary Document that will back you up as the next of kin to Gen. Ibrahim
Moussa. All that is required from you at this stage is for you to provide me
With your Full Name, Address and telephone/fax numbers so that we can
Commence documentation and also call you. After you have been made the
Next of kin, we will also file in claims on your behalf and secure the
Necessary approval and letter of probate in your favor for you to be
Able to move the consignments. There is no risk involved at all in the
Matter as we are going adopt a 100% legal method and we as his attorneys
Will prepare all the necessary documents. Please endeavor to observe
Utmost discretion in all matters concerning this issue.

NOTE: Once the consignments have been released to the funds and us
Secured, we shall give you 25% of the entire sum, while I as the originator
Shall take 65%. The remaining 10% shall be set aside to cover any
Incidental expenses incurred by both parties in the course of bringing this
Transaction to a positive conclusion. I specifically want you to know
That we are inviting you into this transaction because we cannot do it
Alone because the security company already knows us as his lawyers. So
We need your support, unwavering assistance and most importantly
Confidentiality.

Should you be interested please send me your private phone and fax
Numbers for easy communication, and I will provide you with more details of
This operation.

Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated.

Kind Regards

Lawyer Bankey Moore
