"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Hello my dear,

Please bear with me. I saw you as somebody that will be honest and reliable.
I want to know if you can assist me for an investment in your country henceI
am contacting you.
As you may wish to know, my name is Mrs. Marian Igenewarri Edward. I am
the first wife of the late chief Igenewarri Edward, who was the immediate
past traditional ruler of KPEDROME KOHOUN VILLAGE in COTONOU, Republic of
Benin.
My husband and my three months old baby that I was still breast feeding,
died on the 21st of November 2003 in a fire out break in our residence which
burnt them to death, leaving my two other children and my self in a very
deplorable condition in a private hospital here in Cotonou- Republic of
Benin.

Prior to his death, my husband was a registered contractor with Federal
Republic of Nigeria, of which he has executed so many contracts for the
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). This organization was
responsible for the conduct of all the elections in that country Nigeria.
On the 14th of April 2003, my husband signed a contract with INEC worth
US$18,000,000.00 (Eighteen Million United State Dollars) for the supply
of electoral materials such as voting cards, ballots boxes, and computers
to the Northern Zone of INEC worth 18 million U.S dollars, which he executed
before his untimely death. It was that very election that brought in the
present leadership of President Olusegun Obasanjo on the
throne.

After the death and burial of my husband and while we are still in this
private hospital here in Cotonou, my husband's Uncles and relatives started
pressing me and insisted that I must declare all my husband's assets and
properties, so that they will share among themselves. They have already
shared all of our land properties and estates including exotics cars that
my husband left behind, leaving nothing for me to take care of my surviving
children who are also in a deplorable condition with me here in the hospital.
They have shared all our properties among themselves and abandoned us in
the hospital because they were only after my husband's properties. We have
been suffering in this hospital without adequate medications until recently
the Nigerian government contacted my family for this contract payment since
my husband who executed this contract is no more.
My husband relations went to Nigeria and applied to claim this fund, but
out of anger because they have evil plans against me, I quickly informed
the Nigerian government via their embassy here in Benin Republic to stop
every payment arrangement in favour of these people. I then wrote an official
letter through Barrister Funsho Daniels who is from my country but based
in Nigeria, to inform INEC financial director that this fund does not belong
to my husband but to a foreigner who sponsored the contract for him. The
chairman of INEC Dr Abel Goubadia believed my information having known that
I am the legal wife of the deceased, he believed that I will not tell lies,
so he dismissed the application filed by my husband's relatives and directed
me to inform the sponsor and owner of the fund to come for the contract
payment.

I have discussed the matter with Barrister Funsho Daniels who is an old
friend of my late husband, and also his legal adviser on most of his contracts
in Nigeria. He has advised me to contact any reliable person (foreigner)
that can act as the owner of this fund so that he will make him the beneficiary
of the fund, and apply for the contract payment. in his favour.
Already, I have informed my family members that this money belongs to a
foreigner and not my late husband, therefore if it touches your heart to
assist me with utmost sincerity and honesty kindly contact my attorney Barrister
Funsho Daniels in Nigeria for more details. His direct email address is:
barrister_funsho32@yahoo.com

Please I want to assure you that this transaction will not breach the international
law and your interest will be very much protected . I am ready to offer
you 20% of this fund if you will assist me to secure it, but all I needed
from you is full assurance that you will not let me down or sit on this
fund when you receive it in your bank account.

Please I need this assurance from you and your proper identity to enable
me have the trust and confidence in you. As soon as the bank concludes the
transfer, we will proceed to your country to continue our medication since
the doctors has recommended surgery operations for the three of us. I will
need your
assistance to invest the remaining 70% of the money which belongs to me
to any viable business venture in your country

Please contact my attorney Barrister Funsho Daniels as I have briefed him
what to do and directed him to handle it for me since I am still in hospital
in my village here in the Benin Republic under intensive medical treatment.
Once again, his private email is: barrister_funsho32@yahoo.com

Sincerely

Mrs. Marian Igenewarri Edward.
