"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

MR. A.SALAUROO
FIRST CITY BANK LTD
16, SIR WILLIAM NEWTON STREET,
PORT-LOUIS - MAURITIUS

Greetings to you,

I am Mr. Alfred.Salauroo, a Director with First City
Bank Ltd, Mauritius. I have an urgent and very
confidential business proposition for you.

On June 6, 1998, an American Oil Consultant Contractor
with Mauritius Mining Corporation, Mr Charles Anderson
made a numbered time Fixed Deposit for twelve calendar
months valued at US$11,200,000.00 (Eleven
million, two hundred thousand U.S. dollars Only) in my
branch. Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification
to his forwarding address but got no reply.

After a month, I sent a reminder and finally I
discovered from his contract employers, the Island of
Mauritius Mining Corporation, that Mr Charles Anderson
was among those who lost their lives in September 11
2001 Bomb Blast in United State while on leave. On
further investigation, I found out that he died
without making a WILL and all attempts to trace his
next of kin was fruitless.

I therefore made further investigation and discovered
that Mr Charles Anderson did not declare any kin or
relations in all his official documents including his
Bank Deposit paperwork in my Bank. This sum of
US$11,200,000.00 (Eleven million, two hundred
thousand U.S. dollars only) is still floating in my
Bank and the interest is being rolled over with the
principal sum at the end of each year and no one will
ever come forward to claim it. According to the Island
of Mauritius Law, at the expiration of 5 (five) years,
if nobody applies to claim the fund it will be
chanelled into the coffers of the Island of Mauritius
Government. One good thing about this transaction is
that I have been privileged to be his ACCOUNTS OFFICER
since 1998, and the bank officials are not yet aware
that Mr. Charles Anderson has died.

Consequently, my proposal is that I would like you as
a Foreigner to stand in as the next of kin to late Mr
Charles Anderson. This is simple. I will recommend an
accreditted Attorney to you, who specialises in
matters of this nature. The Attorney will handle the
drafting and notarization of the WILL and also obtain
all the necessary documents and letter of probate
administration in your favour for the transfer. The
Attorney will also swear an affidavits on your behalf
which will put you in place as the next of kin to late
Charles Anderson. The money will be transferred into
your account for us to share in the ratio of 70% for
me and 30% for you.

There is no risk involved in this transaction at all
as all the legal paperwork for the execution of this
transaction will be done by the Attorney and my
position as a Director and his ACCOUNTS OFFICER
guarantees it's successful execution.

If you are interested, please reply immediately
through this e-mail address and
upon your response, I shall then provide you with more
details that will help you understand the transaction
better.

Please observe utmost confidentiality and be rest
assured that this transaction would be most profitable
for both of us because I shall require your assistance
to invest part of my share in your country.

Awaiting your urgent reply

Thanks and best regards,

Sincerely yours,

Mr. Alfred.Salauroo
