"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: I EAGERLY AWAIT YOUR RESPONSE

From: MR. AHMED TIJANI

MY GREETINGS,

Before I proceed, I must say that I am very sorry for jumping into your
privacy. There was no other safer way to contact you in regards to this
transaction, which requires a direct contact with you and all confidentiality.
I got your e-mail address from a reliable e-mail journal and decided to
mail you, which I believe it's your private e-mail address. I do not know
you, but hope to meet a trust-worthy friend like you.

I am Mr. Ahmed Tijani, a commercial farmer from Liberia, a war torn country
in the West Africa Sub-region. I happened to leave my country due to social
unrest and political instability that is yet to settle in my country.

I was shot on my legs during the recent civil war in my country by one of
the faction rebels groups that are vying for power control, right now my
legs has been cut off from my knees down due to the gunshot. As a very close
friend to the embattled former President of my country (Mr. Charles Taylor),
I was privileged to travel on exile with him to Nigeria. Right now I am
living in the same island with him and we have been confined in the island
with a restricted movement. I lost most of my Agricultural assets due to
the current change in government in Liberia.

Dear, there is some amount of money that I had deposited in a security house
in Ghana for safety before and during the early stategs of the war. The
total sum is US$57,000,000.00 (Fifty-Seven Million United States Dollars
Only). The money is part of my life savings and what I inherited from my
late father, from whom I took over the family business. I would like to
have your assistance in relocating and investing the money in a lucrative
business you deem profitable in your country since I cannot go further into
active farming even after things might have settled down in my country due
to my present physical condition. I am 59 years of age and my only surviving
daughter is 17 years of age, hence we need your cooperation to secure and
invest this funds, which is as it stands now, the only hope for my daughter's

future and survival as I have already lost my agricultural investments,
coupled with my being crippled all of a sudden and the situation of insecurity.
Life is no more the same with me after all the lot I have gone through.

It might interest you to note that I took the decission to leave my country
Liberia after I have been named with some government officials who served
under the former president for questioning on corruptions and human rights
abuse. I am sure that there was gross misconduct by my bossom friend former
president Taylor (which I have during his tenure in office, I tried to persuade

him to change his ruling policies as it was never MASSES FRIENDLY) but even
with this efforts I have been named by this committee coupled with the collossal
loss I sufferd in the hand of the LURDS rebel groups that masterminded the
deaths of my wife and six other children. My remaining daughter was lucky
to be alive today due to the stroke of faith that she had inssisted
to school in the nieghbouring Ghana which was why she was not there when
the rest of the family were attacked.

All my hope now rests on you, and I sincerely believe you will not disappoint
me. I am willing to let you have 20% of the total sum as commission for
your assistance and the investment will also be managed by you. I am expecting
your immediate reply, so that I will forward to you the contact of the Security
House in Ghana. I will equally give you a Letter of Authority, giving you
the right to transfer the money to a different account for safety and reinvestment
purposes.

May God guide you in anything you decide and thank you for taking out time
to read this request. I eagerly await your response for more details. Please
direct your reply ONLY to: ahmedtijani@1mail.net

Sincerely yours,

MR. AHMED TIJANI
