"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: Mrs Rose Williams.

My good friend,

Christian greetings to you in the mighty and precious name of the Lord.
May His promised blessings to His children for this new year never pass
you by.

I am your Sister in the Lord, Mrs Rose Williams. I am from Solomon Islands
and reside here in Abidjan Cote D'Ivoire, West Africa. I am the wife of
late Mr. John Williams, the Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Cote D'Ivoire
who died on the 15th August 2004. Before the death of my husband, we were
married for eleven years without any child. We were real born again christians
who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, only through whom we
all believers shall see the Father and enter the Kingdom. The Lord is the
centre of my heart, and ever since I lost my husband He has been everything
to me as I did not want to remarry.

Very sad to hear that two weeks ago, I was diagnosed cancer of the lung
and the doctors here have confirmed that I would not last for more than
three months. Because of this I have been having sleepless nights, but
always say; may the perfect will of God be done. 'He giveth and He taketh'.
I am not afraid of death, for I know where I am going. The death of a sinner
is so painful because he has not accepted Christ as his Lord and personal
Saviour before dying, but when the righteous dies, the heaven rejoices.

Please I need you all fellow believers from that part of the world to remember
me in your prayers. Ever before the death of my husband, my brother inlaws
and sister inlaws were not in good relationship with me because I was not
able to conceive and give birth to any child for my husband (their brother).
Though they are not christians. It is God who gives children and my inability
to conceive was neither my fault, nor my husband's fault.

My beloved in Christ, my main reason for contacting you is this; In the
Bible, a man went out to sow, and he found various grounds to sow into.
He found the stony ground, the thorny ground and the good soil. The soil
which returned the harvest was the good soil. It is also written; Do not
store for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust destroy, and
where thieves break in and steal. But store for yourselves treasures in
heaven where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break
in and steal, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be
also"

My late husband had deposited some money with a bank here in Abidjan Cote
D'Ivoire, and the amount is USD8.5million. Because of my illness which
will not permit me to stay long here on earth, and because of the love I
have for God, the poor widows and the orphans, I would like to use this
money help those in need. I want this money to be completely used for
providing shelters, foods and cloths to the poor, even assist educate the
poor children who have no one to take care of them and their education
.If possible aoundation in my name couldbe established.

I had wanted to forward this money to the countries affected by the Tsunami
disaster, but when I came across your contact on the net, the holy spirit
touched my heart to communicate to you. You are therefore the only person
I contacted in respect of this money, so I shall be needing assurance from
you that this money will be wisely spent the way I instructed above,
and that no part of it will go into any worldly glorified business. As soon
as I hear from you, and have the assurance I will make fast arrangement
with the bank, declaring to them that you are my late husband's christian
friend, that the money is meant for charity, and by the special grace of
God before one week it would be made to you without any risk and
obstacles.

Thereafter I shall require you to come down to Cote D'Ivoire here and meet
with me in person, if the Lord does not return before then. Meanwhile,
my late husband has many houses here which I will show to you when you
shall come.

I may include your name in my last will and testament, but as we proceed
we must always ask God for guidance and for Him to direct us on each and
every step we are going to make regarding this. I would have included my
telephone number here, for you to ring me, but the doctors have warned
me to henceforth stop placing handphone on my earn as the echoe gives me
brain problem.

Remain eternally blessed in Him, and may He keep us sanctified until the
day of His coming.

Agape'

Sister Rose.
