"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Subject: IN GOOD FAITH


Dear sir,

I got your email from my friend whom I met yesterday; he got your mail from
you when you were chatting. I wish to explain my problem to you if you could
help me or introduce me to someone that is capable of helping me.

I am chris williams from Africa, a 28 years old who came to china to meet
my father's business assistance and friend for business transaction and
could not locate my father's friend and now I seek for your business assistance
and partnership to enable me invest my capital here in China market.

I came in with my father's wealth to China, according to the instruction
my father gave me before his arrest and untimely death to meet his friend
here in Beijing China, but since my arrival few days ago, I still could
not locate his where about.

I was able to get to this place with the sum of 4.2 million US dollars with
the assistance of a foreign company called Swiss Security Company in London.
My money is in care of a foreign diplomat from France who works in the security
company.

I currently live in a hotel in Beijing and I am looking for a Chinese person
who is rich in business experience to assist me to invest my family's money
here in the establishment of any fast moving products in China like Cosmetics
Company, Auto-mobile Company, Electronics Company e.t.c.

My father who was into gold & diamond business for years and also serving
Minister was arrested by present regime and my mother told me that he committed
suicide in prison for his role in the last regime to avoid been probed.
So I have no choice than to follow his instructions in escaping with only
part of his wealth to meet his friend here but unfortunately I couldn't
meet him too.
