"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dear Sir,

With due respect and humility I write you this letter which I believe you
would be of great assistance to me and my children.

I got your contact through my husbands country directries book and I
believe that you must be a trust worthy and reliable person that will not
like to intimidate me or betray my trust after hearing this news. I am a
native of KONOBO in the KEREMA local district of SIERRA LEONE in west
Africa, and the wife of late DR.DAUDU KONOBI who was assasinated by the
rebel forces loyal to major John Koromah, because he was the director
General National Gold and Diamond Minning Corporation of Sierra Leone.

Two days before my husband was assasinated,He intrusted me and my children
( mohamed and Amina) tomove out of Sierra Leone immediately, before the
Powerful(ECOMOG) forces intervened, which eventually resulted into a
brutal civil war. My childr and I,managed to escape to Nigeria, through the
help of my husband's friend who is a trader. We came into Nigeria with
some valuables including a cash sum of US$18 MILLION ( EIGHTEEN MILLION
UNITED STATES DOLLARS ONLY) in three trunks boxes which I was adviced by a
pastor friend to the family to forward same to a security trust company in
Spain, noted the currupt practices here in Nigeria against us as refugees.

Meanwhile,I want to leave Nigeria entirely to your country for investment
because of a stable political situation there and mostly for the future
ofmy children, noted the unstable political and economic policies in
Nigeria. I want you toplease assist us to claim this fund from the
security company, after which the fund will be deposited in your account
for investment there. You should also help us to source for a good
investmentopportunity so that we can invest wisely in your country.

We have it in mind to reward you handsomely for your assistance as we have
resolved to give you 35% of the total sum for your help.

We are refugees here and are not in any possition to claim the money
except with the help of a partner abroad. Please contact my son Mohamed on
this email address mohakon@mighty.co.za immediately you recieve this
letter to enable us proceed in earnest towards retrieving the
consignments. Your private telephone number is needed in this transaction
forprivate discussions.

Note: There is no risk involved. We are really in need of your helpbecause
