Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Good day
I am Mr Paul Adams, Manager Private Banking Operations of Aspec securities
and finance.I opened a time coded fixed deposit account for an America oil
& diamond consultant/contractor, valued at US$10,500,000.00 in my branch
and upon Upon maturity, sent a routine notification to his forwarding address
but got no reply only to discover that the depositor Mr. Patel Cohen died
in an automobile accident. On further investigation, We discovered that
he died without a WILL, and all attempts to trace his next of kin have remained
fruitless.
This sum of US$10,500,000.00 is still sitting our vaults. Since it is clear
that no one will come up to claim the funds and to avoid forfeiting the
money to the finance company, I would request that you stand in as the next
of kin to Mr. Patel Cohen, while I process the title documents which will
confirm and confer you with rights of claims and administration of the funds.

You will receive the funds in trust to be shared b/w us on mutually agreed
terms.
This transaction can be concluded within 5 working days and at no risks

and without any legal implications.
