Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

My name is Mrs Biyanca Andas a citizen of Sierra Leone,a widow to the late
former minister of finance in Ivory Coast who was a victim of the recent
rebell Attack in Abidjan.
I inherited a total sum of $1.5 million dollars from my late husband. this
money which is concealed in a trunk box is deposited with a security and
finance company in Ivory Coast under a secret arrangement as a family treasure.
This mean's that the security company does not know the content of this
box that was deposited with them.

My main purpose of sending your this mail is because i need your help.Sincethe
death of my husband the family has been given me a lot of problem they have
collected everry thing from me and they still want to collect this money
but i cant give this to them because is all i have to leave with i have
a son by name Ken with me here i have to send him back to school i have
to start a new life.Please all i want from you now is for you to stand for
me and recieve this trunk box in your country then i will come over to your
country please i believe that you are trustworthy person please i realy
need your help before the family of my late husband will get me and kill
me.

Please on recieving this mail and accepting to help me send me your full
name full cantact address of where you want the box to be shipped to and
your telephone contact.Please i must let you to know that the address that
i need from you is address that you think is a very secure and save place.As
for your percentage we shall chat on that as soon as i hear from you.There
is need for urgent action because I'm to pay $50 dollars per day as a demurrage
to the security company for keeping this consignment.
I give thank's immensely for the co-operation as I look forward to hear
from you soonest.
