"419" Scam – Advance Fee / Fake Lottery Scam

The so-called "419" scam is a type of fraud dominated by criminals from Nigeria and other countries in Africa. Victims of the scam are promised a large amount of money, such as a lottery prize, inheritance, money sitting in some bank account, etc.

Victims never receive this non-existent fortune but are tricked into sending their money to the criminals, who remain anonymous. They hide their real identity and location by using fake names and fake postal addresses as well as communicating via anonymous free email accounts and mobile phones.

Keep in mind that scammers DO NOT use their real names when defrauding people.
The criminals either abuse names of real people or companies or invent names or addresses.
Any real people or companies mentioned below have NO CONNECTION to the scammers!

Dearest Beloved,

I am Mrs. Juliet Toure from Ivory Coast. I am a widow being that I lost
my husband a couple of years ago. My husband was a serving director of the
Cocoa exporting board until his death .He was assassinated on September
2002 by the rebels group following the political uprising.

Before his death he deposited one trunk box which contains the sum of US$17.4m
in a private security company here in Abidjan and declared the content as
family valuables owned by his foriegn partner.

I want you to do me a favour to retrieve this box from the security company
and have the fund transfer to your designated bank account for investment
in your country or any safer place as the beneficiary I have plans to do
investment in your country,like real estate and industrial production.

This is my reason for writing to you. Please if you are willing to assist
me and my only son Idris, indicate your interest in replying soonest,and
call me for more explaination.
